![]() Start the crab with the cleaned side down so that, once flipped, the body cavity makes a small well to hold spice and a drizzle of beer or water to steam. We like to add white vinegar and lemon, as well as seasonings, such as Old Bay and garlic powder. Keep the pot over high heat until the water starts to boil, then turn it down to medium heat.
